Athletics:
As a NCAA athlete Rob showed great promise as a javelin thrower. A solid collegiate javelin thrower while at the University of Washington and later Boise State, Rob leaped on to the national stage with his runner-up placing at the 2003 NCAA and USA Outdoor Championships. Rob joined the Boise State program in the fall of 2000 after two seasons at the University of Washington. He decided to leave the University of Washington following the retirement of coach Ken Shannon. At Boise State, Rob twice earned NCAA All-American honors, just missing a national title in 2003. During his high school career, Rob set the Washington state record in the javelin with his throw of 65.55m/215-0. In addition to enjoying an outstanding track and field career at South Kitsap High School, Rob was also an excellent football player. A two-time all-league selection at quarterback, Rob led his team to a 24-2 record over two seasons as a starter. Since 2003 Rob has been one of the USA’s best Javelin throwers with three top three finishes at the USA National championships in the last four seasons. With over 20 international competitions and being a member of four United States national teams Rob has made a name for himself as a world class athlete. Rob placed 7th at this years World Cup in Athens, Greece.
Coaching and Training:
Rob’s personal training business started after moving back to Seattle in 2003. Knowing he needed money to continue his professional track career Rob began coaching track and field. After a couple seasons at two Seattle high schools he began coaching at the University of Washington. In 2006 Rob was nominated as Male coach of the year at the UW after having an athlete win the Pac-10 title in the javelin and another athlete place second. While coaching Rob began to venture into personal training. In just over a year Rob has found his niche helping people gain strength and reach their fitness goals. Rob is the trainer of Seattle’s elite including the world famous Dale Chihuly and interior designer Terry Hunziker. No matter what your training goals are Rob can help you reach them.
